Our Purpose

We purpose to love God by:

• Striving to put Him first in everything we do (Matthew 6:33)

• Cultivating a love for God with all our heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37)

• Seeking to know Him better every day through personal Bible study and prayer (1 Chronicles 16:11, Jeremiah 29:13, Psalm 9:10, Psalm 119:2, Hebrews 11:6)

• Pursuing a clean heart before Him and keeping a short account of sin (Psalm 51:10, Psalm 119:9-16, Matthew 5:8, James 4:8)

We purpose to imitate Christ by:

• Dying to self-will and submitting to God’s will daily (Galatians 2:20, Luke 9:23)

• Teaching the truth, the Word of God (John 5:19. John 12:49, John 14:10, John 17:8)

• Loving one another (John 13:34-35)

• Showing compassion for the lost (Ephesians 4:32, Mark 6:34, Galatians 6:2)

We purpose to follow Scripture by:

• Knowing what the Bible says (2 Timothy 2:15, 1 Peter 3:15)

• Using the Scripture as our guide for all we believe and do (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

• Recognizing the commands and principles in God’s word and setting personal standards that will encourage us to follow them (John 14:21, Psalm 119:11; 119:105)

We purpose to equip others for serving and following Christ by:

• Regular preaching and teaching services (Hebrews 10:25)

• Sharing the Gospel (Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:15)

• Teaching others through Bible studies and discipleship (Matthew 28:20, 2 Timothy 2:2, Colossians 3:16)
